Amazingly, this morning started with a visit to the National Museum of Wildlife Art because we saw they were featuring the Zodiac Heads by Ai Weiwei! I could not believe that this exhibit was here and that it was free. These twelve animal sculptures were displayed in this beautiful setting which is so free, unlike the artist who remains under government scrutiny in China for speaking out for democracy and human rights. It was a great lesson for the kids to view this work. I will be shocked if they remember it, but Reed was very impressed. It was a highlight, and they were kind to indulge us.

It was off to the Targhee Music Festival this afternoon for Patty Griffin, Mavis Staples, and Bruce Hornsby. We got soaked. In fact, we did not make it to Hornsby. After some parental concerns kicked in for a late night crossing of Teton Pass (in the rain) after hundreds of fun seeking fans leave it felt like the right move. Let's just say we did some explaining about strange smells...and it was 4pm. That only gets worse. We did bring our tent (finally got to use that) so the kids could stay dry. I promise Grace is in that picture between Reed and Edward.

There are certain things from each RV park that you just can't describe. Enjoy a pair from tonight's.
